This multi-stage project at Tower Road, Liphook involved extensive internal structural alterations, full internal refurbishment, and a comprehensive upgrade to the external envelope of the property. Delivered across several phases, the works transformed both the functionality and appearance of the home while improving long-term durability and performance.
From structural openings and internal reconfiguration to full rendering and landscaping, this was a substantial renovation programme managed in its entirety by Rogate Construction.
Structural Alterations & Installation of Bi-Fold Doors
During the initial phase of works, we undertook significant structural alterations to the rear elevation to improve natural light and create a stronger connection between the home and garden.
This involved:
- Forming new structural openings
- Installing heavy-duty lintels
- Propping and supporting existing masonry
- Carefully quoining brickwork to ensure a seamless finish
- Installing new bi-fold doors and windows
These works required careful sequencing and structural consideration to maintain stability throughout. The result was a brighter, more open living space that better suited modern family living.
Internal Reconfiguration & Layout Improvements
As part of the same early phase, we reconfigured internal areas to improve flow and usability. This included:
- Removing redundant walls and infill sections
- Forming new stud partitions with acoustic insulation
- Creating a more open connection between kitchen and lounge
- Adjusting circulation areas to optimise space
Temporary partitions were installed to allow works to progress safely while protecting completed areas.
The revised layout significantly improved spatial efficiency and created a more contemporary feel throughout the ground floor.
WC Relocation & Window Alterations
The existing WC was reworked to improve both practicality and natural light.
Works included:
- Forming a new window opening
- Relocating the existing window and infilling the redundant opening
- Installing new stud walls with acoustic insulation
- Refitting sanitaryware
- Carrying out associated drainage and service alterations
Careful detailing ensured the external façade remained cohesive despite structural adjustments.
Drainage & Service Upgrades
To accommodate the revised internal layout, new soil connections and drainage alterations were carried out. These works ensured compliance and long-term reliability.
Electrical installations were upgraded in stages throughout the project, including provision for future flexibility as layouts were finalised.
Plastering, Bathrooms & Joinery Works
Extensive plastering was undertaken across the staircase, lounge, WC and bathroom areas to create a consistent, high-quality finish ready for decoration.
Bathroom installation works included tiling and sanitaryware fitting, while carpentry works covered:
- Internal door adjustments and hanging
- Bespoke cupboard installations
- Stair joinery elements
- Skirtings and architraves
Later completion-phase works included floor levelling, latex preparation and installation of floor finishes to ensure a clean, durable result.

External Rendering – Full Elevation Upgrade
One of the most visually transformative elements of the project was the complete rendering of all elevations.
Carried out in a later phase of works, this involved:
- Preparation and cleaning of all external walls
- Removal of fixtures as required
- Installation of a traditional render system across all elevations
- Full scaffold access with boarded working platforms
The new render dramatically modernised the property’s appearance while providing improved weather resistance and long-term protection to the building fabric.
This upgrade is a defining feature of the completed project.
Roofing Works & Rainwater Goods Replacement
To ensure the integrity of the external envelope, the lower roof section was stripped and re-tiled using materials carefully selected to match the existing roof.
Associated works included:
- Lead detailing
- Mortar finishing
- Replacement of fascias, soffits and guttering in anthracite UPVC
These improvements enhanced both durability and visual coherence across the property.
Patio Construction & Driveway Installation
The final stage of works focused on landscaping and external functionality.
To the rear, we constructed a new patio area, including:
- Excavation and level reduction
- Compacted MOT sub-base
- Installation of natural limestone paving
- Silica-based jointing compound
To the front, we upgraded the driveway with:
- Decorative chippings
- Appropriate sub-base preparation
- Granite set detailing
- New drainage connections
New limestone steps were formed to both front and rear elevations, ensuring safe access and visual continuity.
External Electrical Installations
External upgrades also included:
- Installation of extractor fans
- New external lighting and high-level floodlight
- External double sockets
- Provision for an EV charging point
- Power supply to the shed
- Additional roof-space lighting and services
These additions improved functionality while future-proofing the property.
